Welcome to the winter side of Greece!
The season has started already at 8/12/2012 as there was considerable snow falls, at the North west side of the country.
Vasilitsa, Karpenissi and Pisoderi resorts had the most snow cover so far. The big ski resorts, Parnassos and Kalavrita opened up at 15/12/2012.
Parnassos ski resort is only 28 km away from Delfi archaeological site. Kalavrita Ski Resort has interesting orthodox monasteries near by. Vasilitsa Ski resort is considered to be as a natural snowboarding paradise. Up north, 3-5 Pigadia(wells) it the only resort with artificial snow option.
Christmas and new years time is considered to be snowy so you may put Greece in your list as a destination for ski and snowboarding fun!
