The stormy wind persists at Parnassos and Karpenisi ski resortsKarpenisi ski resort will remain closed today and possibly tomorrow due to snow storm. The road that leads to the ski resort is closed. Parnassos ski resort after three suspensions will also remain closed due to snow storm, the wind has reached 95km velocity. After yesterdays bad weather conditions, effort has been put and managed to melt the ice on Pilio1 and Pilio2 ski lift which are now in operation and the effort is being continued for the rest of the lifts. It is snowing at Parnassos, Kalavrita, Pigadia, Elatochori and Metsovo. It has also snowed at Parnitha, for your access to the Casino you won't be needing skid chains as the road is being constantly cleared throwing salt. At the top you can see the Snow Cam at 3-5 Pigadia. This Friday, anyone that has the Snow Report Card 2006, can contact Tzimas Travel to arrange for their free transition from Thessaloniki to Seli ski resort. More Snow cams are set in operation for this year! Check out snowcam.gr Two plastic slopes for ski/snowboard and snowtubes are set at Politses ski resort in Metsovo. The slopes are 270 and 100 meters long respectively. The ski/snowboard slope is 12 meters wide and the ascend is being accomplished via the middle lift, at the left you can see a recent photo where the plastic is getting placed on the artificial grass by an Italian workshop.
