SNOW-NEWS: Fresh snow at most ski centres!
Karpenisi ski centre is closed today and Pilion has suspended its operation for the time being, due to snowstorms. Menalo is also closed because of preparation works on the ski runs. Snow is coming down at this moment at most of the ski resorts in Greece. Fresh snow: Parnassos 50cm, Lailias 20cm, Pilio-Pertouli-Metsovo 10cm, Menalo 5cm. More than 2 metres snow at Vasilitsa ski centre. Night skiing and lots of party fun at Pertouli ski centre on Saturday 29/1. A repeat “Chalet Warming Party” at the “Snow Hawk Chalet” will take place on Saturday 29/1 at Menalo ski centre. The Snowbus will transport visitors to and from the “upper” chalet, on a continuous basis from morning until night. For information : 6937-303008 The weather scene is changing somewhat these coming two days, with winds blowing from southwest and snowfalls, although substantial at most ski centres, will be limited to only higher altitudes. Weather forecast by Nikos Mazarakis... Snow heights today Klaoudatos Ski Bus from Athens to Kalavryta, Parnassos and Menalo and from Thessaloniki to Seli and Elatohori. TZIMAS TRAVEL Ski Bus from Thessaloniki for 3-5 Pigadia daily. Snow cameras now operating at 3-5 Pigadia, Parnassos, Kalavryta (Helmos), Karpenisi, Pilio, Vasilitsa and Parnitha (Meteocam).
