Substantial quantities of snow!
Extract from the Snow Report Forum: " ...Wishing strength to family members and friends of the unfortunate climbers. The risk factor for avalanches is high today (for off piste skiing it is 4 points out of 6), due to south winds and a rise in the temperature, says Kostas Economou, responsible at Parnassos Ski Centre. Ski centres closed today, due to very strong winds: Parnassos, Karpenisi, Kaimaktsalan,Pilio,Vasilitsa and Lailia. In suspension of operations for the time being are: Menalo and Kalavryta. Snowing today at most ski centres. Roads are closed going up to ski centres of Karpenisi, Kaimaktsalan and Olympos. SNOWBOARD ΡΑΡΚ AT 3-5 PIGADIA SKI CENTRE: To all Snowboarders! This coming weekend (19-20 Feb.) don't miss the excitement at the Snowboard Park, where, under the supervision of experienced snowboarders and in a specially organized area, you can enjoy jumps, turns and twists. At 3-5 Pigadia Snow Report Card holders there's a special price for a yearly pass, at 120 euro.
