SNOW-NEWS: A little snow on Parnassos, Kalavrita and Pilion.
Parnassos ski runs were white with snow on Saturday morning but sadly, sunshine melted most of it away later on in the day.
Check out live shots from Pilion taken by the Snow camera in operation there. Kalavrita had its last snowfall, 5 cm depth, on Friday and later on today you'll be able to see images from the ski centre, taken by the snow camera set up there.
Despite all efforts to prepare ski runs with artificial snow, the Paradisos ski run at 3-5 Pigadia did not open on Sunday. "Kaimaktsalan ski centre is opening next weekend 18-19 December. The restaurant, the cafeteria, all await for you snow fans, and if, of course, there is enough snow we will provide you with all the info regarding which ski runs are open." Dimitris Glarakis, Manager of Ski centre. The ski centre will be inaugurating this season a new pull-up lift 900 metres long, located on left side of the two-seater lift. Snow permitting, Parnassos ski centres will be open sometime next week. Weather. A new drop in the temperature is expected tomorrow throughout the whole country, while there will be strong northern winds. Despite the temperature drop, the weather will be relatively good during the next three days, while gradual changes are expected as of this coming Friday and possibly snow.
