Today is the first day, which the Olympos Ski Center is open.
Most of the Ski Centers are up and running now. There is light snowfall on Parnassos, 3-5 Pigadia and Elatoxori. Seli should be open on Wednesday. Karpenisi will stay closed. From next Saturday the Falakro Ski Center will be completely open and the 4-seater ski lift will be operational.
Weather: Some heavy snowfalls are expected at intervals during the next hours in all of the Ski Centers in Greece. This backs up the prognostic model that says that we are to expect 10 to 30 cm more fresh snow than what already exists. From the first hours of the morning and during all hours of Tuesday until Wednesday there will be a temporary improvement, with a new atmospheric disturbance that will affect us from a Northwesterly direction, which will bring to us, yet again, precariously intense snowfalls from the Falakro until the Helmos mountain.

SNOW CAM NEWS: A new Snow cam will be set up in Elatochori. We are also expecting Snow Cams to be operational again in Karpenisi, 3-5 in Pigodia, in Thasalitsa, in Pelio and in probably in Seli and Lailia. The Kalavrita Ski Centre and Cybex
are working together to already commence the reconstruction of the Center's web pages and complete the installation of 4 Snow Cams situated in the most strategic spots of the Center from the parking until the Stiga slope. The Web Cam can be used as a security system for the Center and can be used to survey weather conditions, with a 24 hr video recorder. 4 still shots will be shown on the Internet and will be updated every hour. The next project, which we expect to undertake, is the live video transmission of shots taken from the Kalavrita town's Ski Center by wireless link.
