Snow news

According to EMY (Greek National Weather Service) there is a hope for heavy snowfalls towards next week but the forecast doesn’t look promising for the next couple of days. Temperatures will remain reasonably high for this time of the year and therefore there is a chance of rain falling at low altitude. Until Monday morning the outlook is for sun and some clouds. The snow conditions across Europe are not better. In some areas there has also been no significant snow fall since the middle of November and with temperatures having been warmer than usual the initial good snow base has been eroded. Meteo Snow Cameras installations:  at 3-5 Pigadia and Parnassos area are already in operation. At  Lailias we faced technical problems so  the instullation is due for next week. 
 Kaimaktsalan:  The double chair  lift will operate only for rides this weekend. There is not enough snow for Skiing. Chalet is open.
Parnassos: Lack of  snow postpones the opening of the center to 16/12/00.  If there is enough snow before the date set the center will operate earlier. (by ski centers managment).
Kalavrita: Pricelist for 2000-2001. Since the 28th of October and on, every weekend, the chair lifts Achilleas and Stiga are operational.


Karpenisi: 5 cm snow. When there is enough snow, is ready to operate. On Monday bad weather with snowfall is expected.
Vasilitsa:  No snow. When there is enough snow, is ready to operate
Lailias: Minimum snow. The road has iced bits at turnings. Chalet is open on Weekends.
Pisoderi: : 3-4 cm snow. Chalet is open.
Falakro: Northland Motorcyclists meeting on Frid/Sat/Sund. 3 new slopes and lifts were constructed  this summer.  This season only one of the above will be in operation, the one back of Chalet and opposite the old slopes.
