Parnassos: Closed
due to bad weather conditions.
Kalavrita: Temporarily
closed till 12:00 due to strong winds.
Seli: This weekend,
F.I.S. Macedonian Cup and Panhellenic men's ski competition. Organized
by EOS Thessaloniki. The program of the competition includes SLALOM and
G.SLALOM with the participation of greek and foreigner men and women athletes.
Kaimaktsalan: This
weekend, Panhellenic Junior ski competition. Organized by OX Edessa.
SnowBoard Tip of the
Week !
Once on your snowboard, you
can start sliding downwards either front or backside by putting extra emphasis
on your toes or heels to lift a side of the board and slide down slowly.
This is also a good way to stop when you gain too much speed! In order
to turn, you must put your shoulders and your hips parallel to the front
of the board, that is in the axe of the board. You go down slowly, then
give a little push with your back leg, and turn your hips and your shoulders
in the direction of the turn you want to take.
Your knees must always be bent.
Synchronizing those moves and turning once to the left and once to the
right will result in your taking long curves down the slope. There! You
are now ready to improve your technique and start slaloming.
