Kaimaktsalan: Closed due to strong winds. SnowBoard Tip of the Day! It is very important to understand how to position and use your shoulders and hips properly when snowboarding. The first thing to do is to keep the shoulders in the ax of the board, which means to turn your shoulders towards the bottom of the slope and look downwards, not sideways. This position automatically helps your hips to be parallel to your shoulders. That way, as you go down the slope and want to turn backside for instance,your shoulders will move with the board into the curve, your hips -and your back foot- will give a little push in the same direction, and you will make a nice, long, turn.
