SNOW-NEWS: Fresh snow at most ski centres!
It is snowing today at most ski centres.Roads to the following ski centres are closed: Parnassos, Pilio, Karpenisi, Falakro, Kaimaktsalan, Lailia and Menalo. Not operating today due to adverse weather conditions are the following ski centres: Parnassos, Karpenisi, Falakro, Pilio, Kaimakstalan, Menalo and Lailia. Temporary suspension of operations at: Pertouli due to preparation works. A new ski center-Ziria- will be opening by the end of February, 23 km from the town of Xylokastro in the area of Trikala Korinthias in the Peloponnese. This year's opearation will be experimental, but one will find a 200m baby lift, equipment rental, Klaoudatos ski school, rental of snowmobiles and Snow Bus rides on the mountain. For next year, there's provision to add a pull-up lift and to expand the building facilities. The centre's management has been undertaken by the company A. Klaoudatos and Co S.A., after signing an agreement with the Mayor of Xylokastro. Pilio Ski Centre: A night skiing event is being organized by the ski center in collaboration with the Snow Club, on Saturday 05/02. There'll be lots of fun, music and drinking. The lower lift will be operating from 17.00 to 19.00, after which, the upper single seater lift will be in operation. The cost for the pass will be 9 euro. Furthermore, it has been decided that when the weather conditions permit and the snow quality is good, there will be an hour's extention to the daily opening hours of the centre. At 3-5 Pigadia, as of the 1st of February and until the end of this year's winter season, you can get a season card at a reduced price. Adults 150 euor, Students-Pupils 100 euro, Children's 50euro. For Snow Report Card holders there's a special price for a yearly pass, at 120 euro. Very low temperatures are expected for the next three days while snowfalls on Friday and Saturday will be dressing the east part of Mainland Greece in white... Weather forecast by Nikos Mazarakis...
